The Oscar shortlisted live action Irish short film from Nick Kelly, Shoe, may not have made the final 5 for the Oscar nominations, but it will screen as part of JDIFF on February 19th at 18:30 in the IFI.

The film is about a suicidal young man who is interrupted by a begger as he's about to jump off a bridge. Shoe previously received its Irish premiere at the Corona Cork Film Festival in November of 2010. You can have a look for the trailer for the 13 minute film at their website, while if you want to buy a ticket to see it and some other Irish short flicks, head over to the JDIFF site and purchase away.

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival runs from February 17th - 27th.
