Martin Scorsese has confirmed that he'll work with Robert De Niro for a ninth time in the crime film, The Irishman.

Digital Spy are reporting that Scorsese was quizzed about the possible reteaming at a BAFTA 'Life In Pictures' Q and A, and told the audience that the film could shoot as early as next year - with financing just waiting to be finalised. There were no confirmations on the rumoured return of Joe Pesci to the gang.

In the flick De Niro will play a former mobster hitman. Scorsese is just finishing work on his first 3D flick, Hugo Cabret. We'll next see De Niro in the shite looking third 'Fockers' film, Little Fockers.
