So much more than a pretty face/Bradley Cooper temptress/superhero, Avengers star Scarlett Johansson will soon make her directing debut, helming a movie called Summer Crossing.

An adaptation of Truman Capote's first novel, ScarJo's first outing as a director will take place in the 40s, centering on a 17 year old girl who opts out of a family holiday to Paris so that she can spend her time with her new Jewish boyfriend.

Needless to say, Scarleh is most excited about the long-gestating project: "Several years ago I began working alongside the Capote estate and writer Tristine Skylar to adapt Summer Crossing, an inspired early work of Truman's which has long captured my heart... Being able to bring this story to the screen as my full length directorial debut is a life dream and deep privilege."

One question remains, will she be any good? Will she pull a Ben Affleck on it and surprise us all?
