The director of the first three Saw sequels, Darren Lynn Bousman, is to helm the first installment in another possible horror franchise with a remake of Mother's Day. The original film revolved around three broads who, while camping, annoy two brothers who like to rape and kill to impress their (obviously not easily impressed) Mother - big mistake etc. The remake will see the aforementioned inbred's terrorising the new occupants of their old house. Sounds like a million other horror films we've already seen, while the inclusion of Bousman as director doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Might be fun, but they said that about Bousman's last film, Repo! The Genetic Opera, and I've yet to see that on even a DVD shelf. So probably not, then.
