A Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie? (Not to be confused with the original movie from 1992 on which Joss Whedon's TV show was based) With Sarah Michelle Gellar? With Joss Whedon at the helm? Oh Lawdy, that'd one for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer themed diary. And what about David Boreanaz, we'd need oul Angel face back in the mix too, right? And Alyson Hannigan would have to reprise her role as Willow.

Well for the legion of loyal Buffy fans, amassed from the cult-hit TV show that ran from 1997 to 2003, this may become a reality. Though nothing is in the pipeline as of yet, Michelle Gellar says she'd definitely be on board, should the right script present itself. Come ON Whedon, get writing!

A movie remake was allegedly in the works, back in 2011, but wound up being shelved when the writer attached at the time decided to up and leave. Surely Joss could pen it himself, no?

Speaking to E! Online, the former Buffy star revealed:

"Joss and I always talk about [a movie]. But the thing with Buffy is that Buffy was a movie, and it ultimately didn't work as a film.

"And I mean, we had such miles to overcome when we were trying to do a TV show based on a movie.

"And one of the reasons is that the story works better over time. If there was ever the right story, we would do it."
