Could the appearance of the monster from 'Bird Box' made the movie any better?

Given that each character would end up seeing a different variation of the monster, it's hard to tell.

Creature designer and sculptor Andy Bergholtz took to his Instagram account to post pictures of mock-up versions of the monster from 'Bird Box'. Bergholtz's CV is quite impressive, with him having worked on 'A Quiet Place' and 'Stranger Things'.

Unfortunately, his posts have been removed from the site, meaning Netflix probably asked him to take down the photos. However, IGN have made a video with the pictures being featured.

Bergholtz developed one particular monster for Sandra Bullock's character. He said that he designed "3 or 4 variations" of the monster, who appeared to Bullock in a "dream/nightmare sequence" while pregnant.

He went on to say that "In the end, I actually really liked the movie and think it was better off NOT showing the makeup. Kudos to the director for sticking to her guns on that one. Still a fun project to be a part of."

He also clarified why the monster from 'Bird Box' looks like it does, saying Bullock's fear took the form of a "twisted, demonic baby creature attacking her." Lovely.

Bullock previously stated that she couldn't stop laughing at seeing the "long fat baby" monster.

What do you think of the reveal of the demonic-baby monster? Do you reckon it would have made the movie scarier? Let us know if you think they were right to avoid including this in the movie.
