You'd think at Samuel L Jackson's level, that he'd be offered roles left right and centre (along with the green light to utter the word 'motherf*cker' to his heart's content). Not so; he's actually had to campaign pretty heavily, and publicly, to be offered the chance to reprise his role in JJ Abrams' forthcoming Star Wars Episode 7. And JJ has yet to even make that decision.

In an interview with The AP, the actor who's starred in cinematic greats such as Pulp Fiction and cinematic toothaches like Snakes on a Plane (who am I kidding, that was FANTASTIC), revealed that he has no clue if he will return. But he damn well would like to step back into his Jedi Master Mace Windu robes, should the opportunity arise.

At George Lucas's wedding recently, it seemed Abrams was keen to avoid Jackson, as he has yet to make up his mind. "JJ was there, I was there... I was like *raises eyebrows* and he was like *shrugs*, and he just went about his business. I don't know what that means."

Neither do we, Jackson, neither do we. Come ON JJ, shit or get off the pot already. I for one think Samuel L Jackson would be a welcome return, don't you?

Jackson continued: "Harrison was there too, and he was like *shrugs*. I just think it would be cool to have some of us that people relate to as being part of the Star Wars franchise to give entre to the new characters that they're going to bring to whatever the new thing is. It kind of makes it an easier entrance."

What's going on? Maybe they all know that he's not coming back, and when the rest of the cast asked how to respond when Jackson would inevitably enquire, JJ probably gave them all the terrible advice to just shrug and walk away. Either way, we'll let you know the jackanory as soon as we get our mitts on the 411 ourselves. Failing that, Jackson could always bust a lightsaber in Abrams' ass.
