Samuel L Jackson is entering a whole other franchise from the MCU.

Having recently reprised his role as Nick Fury in 'Spider-Man: Far From Home', Samuel L Jackson is now turning his attention to horror.

In case you don't remember, we reported last month that a 'Saw' reboot from Chris Rock is on the way. It looks like the film is actually happening.

According to Bloody-disgusting.com, shooting for the flick commenced this week.

Darren Lynn Bousman, who helmed 'Saw II', 'III' and 'IV', is back as director.

It'll be executive produced by Rock, Daniel Heffner, and original creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell.

The screenplay is based on a story conceived by Rock and written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg.

Rock stars in the film opposite Jackson.

The stand-up comedian plays a police detective investigating a series of grizzly crimes. Jackson portrays his father.

Max Minghella, who stars in 'The Handmaid’s Tale', also joins the cast as the partner of Rock’s character. 'Riverdale' actress Marisol Nichols will play a police captain.

Plot details are being kept under wraps at this time. The original films revolve around the fictional character John Kramer, also called the Jigsaw Killer, who traps victims in situations that test their will to live.

It's due to be released on October 23, 2020 - just on time for Halloween.
