The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place this passing weekend, with results mainly mimicking that of The Golden Globes the previous week.

Once again Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock were awarded top gongs for their work in A Crazy Heart and The Blind Side, while the supporting actor award when to Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds. The Quentin Tarantino war film also picked up the honour for Best Cast, with Hostel director turned actor Eli Roth commenting on the varied countries of origin of each cast member. Mo'Nique, who scared the crap out of me with a searing performance in Precious, also followed the Globe trend and picked up a Best Supporting Actress SAG.

On the TV front, Michael C. Hall was named Best Actor in a Drama Series for Dexter, while Julianna Margulies was Best Actress for new series, The Good Wife. Alec Baldwin and Tiny Fey picked their obligatory statues for 30 Rock, while Glee bagged Best Comedy Ensemble.
