With everything going on in the world today, it's good to know that one important concern is still being discussed over at Disney - the future of the 'Deadpool' franchise.

In an interview with 'The Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon, Ryan Reynolds was asked about what's to come for his merc-with-a-mouth now that Disney has taken over the 20th Century Fox flagship production. And it seems that the future is bright for Deadpool at Disney.

When asked about the possibility of either 'Deadpool 3' happening, or whether we'd see the off-the-wall comic-book character join forces with the likes of Thor and Ant-Man in an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe storyline, the actor hinted that either could be possible. He said: "I see so much... infinite possibility in either version. If Deadpool were to be in the MCU, I think it would be explosive and amazing - and what a sandbox to play in."

He continued the possibilities of what a new standalone 'Deadpool' could bring, before concluding that "there's a lot more story to tell".

Fallon also asked the actor about his action-comedy movie 'Free Guy', which sees Ryan's character realise that he's in an open-world video game. Also starring Jodie Comer, Taiki Waititi and Joe Keery from 'Stranger Things', the movie is slated for an Irish release in December.
