The brilliant and criminally underrated Ron Livingston is to headline a new, $35 million dollar 13-part TV series that will be partly financed by the BBC, titled Defying Gravity. According to The Hollywood Reporter it will be set in the near future and revolve around eight astronauts from five countries who take on a mysterious six-year mission through the solar system. It comes from the brain of creator/exec producer James Parriott (Grey's Anatomy) and exec producer Michael Edelstein (Desperate Housewives), while German actress Florentine Lahme has been cast in the main female lead. Livingston will next be seen in The Time Travellers Wife opposite Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams, while he's currently shooting The Company Men with Steve Buscemi and Steve Zahn.
