Robert Pattinson is currently riding a Beatle-like level of mania, after his performance in last year's box-office smash Twilight. But Pattinson considers himself a right proper actor, and has been choosing roles as such. Next up after Twilight sequel New Moon, Pattinson plans to star in Remember Me, playing a young man overcoming a horrible tragedy. Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Lost star Emilie de Ravin have also joined the film, which will be directed by Hollywoodland helmer Allen Coulter. You have to give Pattinson credit for picking meaty-sounding roles and not just going for the biggest paycheque. He seems to be going firmly down the Jake Gyllenhaal route, which is essentially using his leading man status to go for decent roles, and not just pandering to his fanbase.
