Legendary director Ridley Scott, is currently prepping the Russell Crowe starring re-imagination of Robin Hood, Nottingham, but took time out from his busy preproduction schedule to attend a special presentation of his futuristic noir classic Blade Runner. Slashfilm.com is reporting that Scott was waxing lyrical and future projects during the Q&A session afterwards and said "I’m filming a book by Joe Haldeman called Forever War. I’ve got a good writer doing it. I’ve seen some of James Cameron’s work, and I’ve got to go 3D. It’s going to be phenomenal." It seems Scott is referring to Cameron's latest action opus Avatar, which is shot with brand spanking new 3D technology, and is released around Santa time. Scott has always been one to embrace any technology that could enhance the cinema going experience, but his best film of the last few years is still the hugely underrated, but very nicely executed Matchstick Men; which was a simple conman tale.
