David Fincher is to direct Keanu Reeves in an untitled film that has been penned by Eastern Promises and Shutter Island scribe Steven Knight. According to Slashfilm.com it centres on a "Michelin-level chef who tries to make a comeback from major personal issues. He gathers his old friends together as his ‘dream team’ and ends up falling in love with the newest member of the group." Fincher was due to direct graphic novel Torso next, but being that this now has a movie star headlining, it's likely to get the bump forward. Reeves seems a strange choice for a Fincher lead, but let us not forget that Brad Pitt was seen as a no-talent pretty boy before Seven transformed his career and showing him as an actor with genuine ability. Granted, it may be slightly too late for Reeves...
