Reese Witherspoon is being touted as the frontrunner in the Best Actress Oscar race by industry magazines after her new movie, Wild was screened recently.

The film is based on the true story of Cheryl Strayed who walked 1100 miles through America, after her mother passed away and she developed an heroin addiction. Strayed wrote a bestselling book based on her experiences that Oprah chose for her 'Book Club'. That's some serious copies sold right there...

The film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, who helmed Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto to Oscar gold for Dallas Buyers Club and also stars Laura Dern.
