A remake of the 1980’s cult film Red Dawn has been given the greenlight, with the second unit director of The Bourne Series, Dan Bradley set to make his full helming debut. A script has been penned by Red Eye and Disturbia scribe Carl Ellsworth who said "The tone is going to be very intense, very much keeping in mind the post-9/11 world that we're in. As Red Dawn scared the heck out of people in 1984, we feel that the world is kind of already filled with a lot of paranoia and unease, so why not scare the hell out of people again?" So, who wants to take bets on who the baddies could be this time? They could obviously be from the middle east, or they could go down the Mighty Ducks route and find a way to make Iceland the bad guys. Taking over America in North Face jackets... scary.
