Ray Stevenson, Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer will all star in the mob film, The Irishman. Apparently, Punisher: War Zone star Stevenson will portray real life mobster, Danny Greene, who had a prolonged scuffle with the mafia in the 1970's, resulting in a nationwide turf war. Walken will offer support as loan-sharking nightclub owner Shondor Birns, and Kilmer will portray a Cleveland cop who becomes chums with Greene, despite his criminal status. Somewhat ironically, the film is to be written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, who penned and helmed the first (and much better) Punisher film that starred Thomas Jane. Stevenson has fantastic presence on screen, but unfortunately the horrible direction of the Punisher sequel, dwarfed that no end.
