From the future-set T.E.D. talks for Prometheus, to the anti-alien poster campaign for District 9, and the "What. IS. That?" teasing for Cloverfield, all the way back to the original website that kick-started The Blair Witch Project, nothing grasps cinema-goers attentions quite like viral campaigns, and this new one for upcoming movie 22 is can now join those distinguished ranks.

Not much is known about the movie – none of the actors who appear are recognisable to us, in fact we're not even entirely sure what country its set in – but what we can definitely say is it's got us intrigued. What we do know is that it's helmed by Milan Da Silva with cinematography from Antonio Riestra.

Knowing how virals work, there's a good chance that none of the footage shown in this teaser is actually going to end up in the finished product, but here's what we've ascertained so far: A group of young adults are in various scenarios doing various activities, i.e. travelling on a train, going paint-balling, about to do the horizontal mambo, when a bald guy shows up. One part The Observer from sci-fi show Fringe, one part creepy monster from Aphex Twin's Come To Daddy music video, once he appears, people start suddenly disappearing. And, unless we're not mistake, everyone who vanishes appears to be 22 years old…

So what do you think? Science fiction thriller? Apocalyptic horror? We think it's fair to assume that we can rule out romantic comedies, but you just never know! There is a website at the end of the teaser that, hopefully, can fill us in with more details!

Sound off in the comments below, let us know what you think it might be and if you noticed any clues, and we'll keep you updated with more information as we get it! Until then, if you're 22, we'd keep an eye out!
