Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman are to star in adaptation of the just published book Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry, after Paramount Pictures won a bidding war for the rights. According to Variety, the book "takes the form of a auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship." Portman was apparently the one to bring the novel to Pitt, and the two will both produce through their respective production companies. Pitt will next be seen in Quentin Tarantino directed war epic Inglourious Basterds, while Portman recently wrapped the Jim Sheridan helmed Brothers.
