It seems like Disney is really doubling down on turning just about every animated film in its arsenal into a live-action film.

After both Cinderella and Maleficent did spectacularly well at the box-office and this year's adaptation of The Jungle Book could be a contender for an Oscar, it's no wonder that the likes of Snow White and Beauty And The Beast are on the way.

While it's quite some time away yet from Snow White, the live-action take on Beauty and the Beast is a lot sooner. While we saw a very short teaser for it some time ago, we're now finally seeing some official images for the film from Entertainment Weekly.

Chief among them is our first proper look at Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as Le Fou. Gaston clearly does not look as large as a barge, and he needs way more eggs. And whey, for that matter.

We also have a proper look at Emma Watson's outfits, which really do take their looks straight from the original animated film as well - not to mention Cogsworth, Lumiere and the rest of the gang for that matter.

We also have our first look at Dan Steven as the Beast and, yes, we maintain that he looks like a goat hybrid thing and there's nothing you can say that'll convince us otherwise. HE IS A GOATY GOAT GOAT MAN.

That's Kevin Kline as Maurice there, and it's worth pointing out that Ewan McGregor is voicing Lumiere, Cogsworth will be voiced by Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson is Mrs. Potts and Gugu Mbatha-Raw will voice Plumette.

So yeah, that's a cast. That's a fantastic cast.

Beauty and the Beast hits Irish cinemas on March 17th, 2017.
