There's been more talk today about Neill Blomkamp's ill-fated Alien film, which is now happening again, for some reason.

Yes, we're confused as well. The rumour going around is that Blomkamp's film has slated for release after Alien: Covenant - that's Ridley Scott's return to the franchise - and that Blomkamp's will come after.

According to a recent report, Blomkamp's Alien will focus on a 27-year old Newt from Aliens and have her teaming up with Michael Biehn's Hicks and Sigourney Weaver's Ripley.

Biehn spoke in a recent interview, confirming that Fox is "planning on bringing me and Newt back and at this point Newt will be around twenty-seven years old. I know that every actress in Hollywood is going to want to play this one, it’s really a passing of the torch between Sigourney and this younger actress who would play Newt."

Sure enough, that got us thinking about young Newt from Aliens. The child actress, Carrie Henn had no other credits listed on iMDB before or after Aliens. So, we did a little bit of digging and, as it turns out, she's basically done with acting entirely. Carrie is now a school teacher in Atwater, California and looks like this.

She obviously cleaned up all the dirt and sorted out her hair. Henn is pretty popular on the ComicCon circuit and regularly appears at fan conventions, which is pretty cool.

As Biehn rightly points out, there'll be more than a few actors vying for the role of Newt and names such as Juno Temple are being linked with the role.

Who do you think would be good for the role? Let us know in the comments!
