We're definite fans of Jake Gyllenhaal and we really enjoyed his latest film, Nightcrawler.

Gyllenhaal slimmed down for the role of a nervy, sociopathic cameraman to get the right kind of desperation and physical presence needed for the role.

Now, however, he's gone the opposite and is built up for his next film, Southpaw.

Gyllenhaal plays a boxer fighting for his daughter (d'uh, obviously) and has been training with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and sparring with real fighters.

The film's director, Antoine Fuqua, says that Southpaw will change how people view Gyllenhaal as a leading man.

Here's a production still from the movie.

Damn, Gyllenhaal. You scary.
