As we reported earlier this year, Christopher Nolan is truly going all out for his World War II epic, Dunkirk.

He's using actual real-life naval destroyers, he's hiring some of the best English actors working today and he's even got vintage, World War II aircraft making dive-bomb runs out in Holland. It's all go, basically.

However, one such co-star who's been attracting the vast majority of the attention has been Harry Styles, formerly of the One Direction musical group.

Styles has been sighted on the set in full World War II garb and, by all accounts, he looks to be taking the whole process fairly seriously. It's easy to see why, considering he's surrounded by the likes of Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Kenneth Branagh - all serious actors who aren't known for having a huge amount of time for celebrity or the trappings of it all.

It's not yet known precisely who Styles is playing or how much of a role he'll have in the film, however it is understood that both he and his co-stars are in Netherlands for the next few days filming and that a major action set-piece is currently being filmed.

Dunkirk is due for an Irish cinema release on July 21st, 2017.
