We're still getting our heads around why they need to do a sequel to this movie twenty years later. They must really be sparse for ideas in Hollywood. Don't get us wrong, Independence Day kicked all kinds of ass, but we were happy to just keep it in the nineties where it belongs. Like S Club 7.

It is happening though, and has even gathered quite a few of the cast back, including Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, and Vivica A. Fox. Pullman obviously won't be President anymore though, this time that role will be played by Sela Ward (she better be working on a kickass speech) while Liam Hemsworth and Charlotte Gainsbourg are also in the cast.

No Will Smith though sadly, even though his on-screen missus will be back, (we're assuming he may have smoked his last cigar when the fat lady sang).

The film will also see director Roland Emmerich returning, along with producer Dean Devlin, the latter of which is the one who uploaded the first picture on set with Jeff Goldblum.

Devlin put the caption; "Hanging with David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) 20 years later is a dream come true! #IndependenceDay"

(Is it just us or do these guys look like brothers?)
