The very talented Mia Wasikowska (the best thing about the otherwise dire Burton version of Alice in Wonderland) and satirist extraordinaire Joaquin Phoenix are set to team for the indie dramedy Big Shoe, according to Dark Horizons by way of Vulture.

Secretary writer/director Steven Shainberg is penning and helming the production about a top shoe designer (Phoenix), who also has a mammoth fetish for ladies feet. It's amazing was excessively playing "this little piggy went to the market..." as a child can do for one's mental state as an adult.

Wasikowska's role has yet to be determined, but frankly I'd watch that young lady in pretty much anything. She was amazing during the first season of In Treatment and should have a long and successful career ahead of her.
