It's all gone a bit quiet on the prospect of The Adventures of Tintin sequel. The film was released three years ago with Steven Spielberg at the helm as Peter Jackson produced. For the sequel the roles will be reversed but time seems to be ticking on with no sign of a release date.

The reason for the delay is Peter Jackson's schedule has been proving quite problematic. However he has confirmed it is still happening. 'It was held up by The Hobbit, but we have every intention of doing another Tintin movie and it's just waiting on me to be done with these Hobbit movies. As soon as I'm free of The Hobbit, I'll be going back into doing Tintin,' explains Jackson.

We expect by the time he is done with The Hobbit, which has two more films to go, we will be looking at a 2016 release date. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits cinemas tomorrow.
