He's been a bit busy this week what with The Hobbit hitting cinema screens 'n' all, but Peter Jackson has had time to let us know that it won't be long before our favourite ginger detective graces our cinema screens again. According to Bleeding Cool, Jackson revealed that he intends to shoot the performance capture for the movie next year. That'll be a whole lotta work for the director because he'll still be putting the finishing touches on his Hobbit trilogy.

The Adventures Of Tintin hit our cinema screens in 2011 and was directed by Steven Spielberg. The film used computer animation and motion-capture performances from the majority of the actors involved, including Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis and Jamie Bell. Jackson served as a producer on the first film but now he and Spielberg will be trading places. Jackson will direct the sequel, while Spielberg will remain on board as one of the producers.

Great snakes! We can't wait for this one.
