It's all about sports films today, folks. News has come in that the upcoming Pele biopic has secured more cast members and, not only that, it's locked in directors Jeff and Michael Zimbalist to bring the story to life.

According to THR, 300's Rodrigo Santoro is joining the cast, alongside Colm Meaney and Vincent D'Onofrio. Meaney will be playing the Swedish coach George Raynor whereas D'Onofrio will be playing the Brazilian coach, Feola. Diego Boneta will be playing Jose, Pele's rival and the man himself will be played unknown Brazilian actor Kevin DePaula.

The biopic will be directed by Jeff and Michael Zimbalist, who previously directed the documentary The Two Escobars. If you've never seen it, seek it out as it's really worth a watch. It's about Pablo Escobar, the drug lord and Andres Escobar, the Colombian footballer. Did you know they weren't related at all? I didn't.

Pele has started production, although there's no release confirmed as yet.
