I was genuinely surprised at just how cool Paul Walker was when I met him in Rio for Fast 5; not that I expected anything else, but he's really a guy that doesn't that himself or what he does for a living too seriously. According to Deadline.com, the actor has now signed on for the indie drama Hours.

The flick will be set during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the devastating hurricane that destroyed The Gulf Coast a few years ago. Walker will apparently play a father trying to keep his newborn daughter alive in a New Orleans hospital. Say what you will about his acting ability, Walker was actually very good in Running Scared. Because of his looks he keeps getting cast in nothing films like Takers, or Into the Blue, and doesn't really get a chance to do anything different.

Final Destination 5 screenwriter Eric Heisserer will make his directorial debut with the film.
