Paramount Network is producing a documentary based on the life and tragic death of Fast & Furious franchise star Paul Walker.

Walker died at the age of forty in a car accident in November 2013. The actor was in the middle of filming Furious 7 at the time.

Adrian Buitenhuis, who directed the documentary I Am Heath Ledger, will helm the film, which is titled I Am Paul Walker. Paramount Network is collaborating with Network Entertainment and I Am Heath Ledger, I Am JFK Jr. and Facing Ali producer Derik Murray on the feature.

I Am Paul Walker offers a never-before-seen comprehensive look at the actor, showing his involvement in philanthropic activities such as helping rebuild Haiti after the island’s devastating earthquake in 2010.

The doc will look at the actor’s passion for the world’s oceans and marine life as well as his career in film. Interviews with Walker’s co-stars and close friends will feature.

It’s looking like I Am Paul Walker will be a made-for-TV movie with only a limited theatrical release but we’ll keep you informed on where you can catch it in Ireland as more details come in.
