Funny People and Parks and Recreation actress Aubrey Plaza has agreed to star as Daria, in a big screen version of the animated MTV show.
A poll took place where MTV Clutch asked readers who they'd most like to see play the role, and they voted Plaza to the top. The actress was offered and accepted the role on Twitter saying, "@MTVClutch Fine. I'll do it. I cost 3 million dollars. When do we start?" Also winning the poll for other parts were Ellen Page, Will Ferrell and Adrian Grenier - they probably have the best shot at bagging Grenier.
Plaza is an accomplished stand up comedian, and does a killer Sarah Silverman impression.
