Whether you liked xXx 3: The Return of Xander Cage or not, there's no denying that it was commercially successful.

With a production budget of $85 million, xXx 3 managed to take in close to $346 million globally - all while receiving withering reviews from just about everyone out there (2.5 out of 5 from us, FYI).

Poor reviews aside, it made money on a comparatively small budget for blockbusters and that's pretty much all you need nowadays to make another film and sure enough, it looks xXx 4 is on the horizon. Ruby Rose, who played Adele in the last instalment of the franchise, posted on Instagram earlier today about the film and teased some news on the matter.

And while I'm here I can't forget my training for Adele in xXx... but... more new exciting news on that soon ;)

Most likely, Rose will be returning for the fourth instalment which Diesel himself also discussed during the press tour for the third film. Diesel mentioned that filming could take place in May of this year, but it now appears as though filming may be due to kick off in a matter of weeks if Rose's Instagram post is anything to go by.

Conor McGregor was lined up to appear in xXx 3, but left before filming started and was replaced by fellow MMA star Michael Bisping - who, oddly enough, also has a role in David Lynch's revival of Twin Peaks.

MMA fighters in auteur arthouse television, a fourth xXx film in the works - the world is a strange place.
