Earth is a memory worth fighting for, right? It sure is. And that's where Tom Cruise comes in. If there's ever a sticky situation in which the future of mankind is at risk, he's the kinda guy you want around. Not the Tom Cruise that jumps around chat-show couches, but the one who you'll find on the big screen. Whether he's playing Jack Reacher in Jack Reacher, Roy Miller in Knight and Day, or Ethan Hunt in any of the Mission Impossible flicks, Cruise has certainly been known to save the day. And that's exactly his mission in the upcoming Oblivion.

We'll have Irish exclusive for you on the latest trailer for Oblivion on Wednesday morning at 9am. So don't forget to stay tuned!

As for the plot? Brought to you by Universal Pictures, Cruise stars here as Jack Harper, one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on the remains of planet Earth (it's set far into the future). Oblivion centres on Harper and his journey of both redemption and discovery as one confrontation with the past - the arrival of a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft - leads him to question everything he thought he knew about himself and take the fate of mankind into his own hands.

Oblivion was shot in stunning digital 4K resolution on location across the United States and Iceland. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, Oblivion also stars Andrea Riseborough, Tom Cruise, Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo and Nikolaj Coster.
