The director of the Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre remakes Marcus Nispel, has just boarded another project, titled The Last Voyage of Demeter. It's an interesting sounding film, that's based around the chapter in Bram Stoker's Dracula when the ship that was carrying the fanged wrong sort, crashed into a Northern British town, Whitby. According to Variety, it will be based prominently around the captain's log of that blood drenched voyage. Legendary producer Mike Medavoy has pulled the film together, and will fund it through his Phoenix Pictures banner, with production set to roll later this year. No word on any possible casting yet, but films that are set at sea generally have bloated budgets, so expect destroyed sets and the like.
