As previously announced Colin Farrell will reteam with Yorgos Lanthimos and uber successful Irish movie house, Element Pictures, for his next film, the intriguing sounding The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

Farrell will also be joined by Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, with the Irishman playing a successful surgeon who befriends a young boy from a troubled family. It's written by Lanthimos' frequent collaborator Efthymis Fillipou, so expect this to be unlike anything you've ever seen before. Kidman's role is yet to be confirmed.

The Lobster was a huge indie hit both in Ireland and abroad - winning big at Cannes last summer. It did strong box-office in Ireland, despite the odd subject matter and has already coined $6.5 million at the US box-office.

Farrell is currently doing the best work of his career. He was by far the best thing about True Detective's second season and has the highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hitting cinemas in November.
