British director Simon West has said he's looking at doing a sequel to his first film, the Nicolas Cage action-fest, Con Air.

The helmer was out doing press for The Mechanic, and spoke to Crave Online about the possibility of a sequel saying, "I'd like to do... Con Air 2." Before adding, "It'd be great. It's a matter of getting everybody together. There are so many people involved and it's about getting everybody to agree. But I'm going to bring it up to Nic. I'm going to put a bug in his ear about it. If the two of us want to do it, we'll go after the others."

The original is a blast of a film, but dumber than a sack of inbred puppies. That doesn't mean I don't wanna see it, though. Jerry Bruckheimer would have to be on board, as he was the man who made the original happen. Cyrus "the god damn" Virus indeed.
