Judge Dredd is coming back, as the 14 years since the last travesty of a film appears to have rendered it a distant memory in people's minds. The new version of the comic favourite is to, somewhat unsurprisingly, ignore the awful Danny Cannon directed, Sylvester Stallone starring 90's mess, and take the ass kicking future cop in a new direction. No word on a director or star yet, but the comic series had bags of cinematic potential, and really should've been a cracking film first time around. Also, it was one of the earliest cases of fanboys getting all uppity over something quite geek like - as Dredd appeared on screen without his helmet.
