'Mulan' is the latest major movie title to get a delayed release.

The live-action remake joins the likes of 'No Time to Die' and 'Peter Rabbit 2' in having its release delayed. The former was pushed from April to November. The latter will now hit cinemas in August rather than later this month.

Only yesterday it was announced that both 'A Quiet Place Part II' and 'Fast & Furious 9' will not arrive in cinemas on their planned release dates.

The delays are due to increasing concerns surrounding coronavirus.

'Mulan' is not the only movie Disney has announced they are delaying.

The highly anticipated 'The New Mutants' and horror flick 'Antlers', both due for release here in April, have also been affected. The former, which is a spin-off from the 'X-Men' series, has already been delayed a number of times.

New release dates for the three movies have not yet been confirmed. The next major movie release for Disney, Marvel movie 'Black Widow', is believed to still be hitting cinemas on May 1st.

Most cinemas in Ireland have introduced social distancing measures as a result of the coronavirus. Most of them, aside from the IFI which has closed, remain open. However this could very well change so stay tuned.
