Oooh there's a lot going on in Hollywood this week and we've pulled all of it together in one handy bite sized lunch time update!

First up Dakota Fanning: She's just signed on to star as Kevin Kline's teenage lover in an Errol Flynn biopic. Deadline says the Twilight starlet will be playing the legendary Robin Hood actor's alleged long time lover Beverly Aadland in The Last of Robin Hood. Kiiiinda creepy but there you go.

Chris Hemsworth's heading off on a swashbuckling adventure In the Heart of the Sea, taking on the role of the first mate on board the ship that encountered an angry sperm whale, which gave rise to the tale of Moby Dick. Vulture says Ron Howard could be signing on to direct the project written by Blood Diamond scribe Charles Leavitt and based on the novel of the same name by Nathaniel Philbrick. Happy days!

Next up is Chloe Moretz. This young lady intends to terrify us all when she takes on Sissy Spacek's Carrie later this year. I'm not too keen on a Carrie remake to be honest, Sissy has that terrifying teenager down to a tee but you can't win 'em all. Anyway, Variety says Chloe now has her eye on another role, a classically trained musician in a relationship with a rock star in If I Stay. It's another book adaptation which tells the tale of this young wan who is involved in a serious car accident. In a critical condition in the hospital, she has an out-of-body experience where she is forced to choose between her difficult life and simply giving up on it. Angsty.

And last but not least, Michael Fassbender. Let's just take a moment to appreciate him. Done? Good. Fassbender's starring in Ridley Scott's upcoming thriller The Counselor which, until today, had no release date. Now it's been announced that the film, also starring Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, will hit US cinemas on September 14 with an Irish release date yet to be confirmed.

Got all that? Excellent.
