Moneyball helmer Bennet Miller and I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence have joined the list of helmers Lionsgate are looking at for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire, says The Playlist.

Miller is currently prepping his Oscar magnet true life flick Foxcatcher for an October shoot, and that has a cast firmly set, so I can't see him jumping ship unless the studio throws some serious cash at him. Lawrence would give the flick almost instant scope, while other names being branded about like David Cronenberg are highly unlikely. No shooter worth his salt will board this so close to production unless Lionsgate promises the world (like funding a passion project or the like).

I wouldn't expect Brett Ratner to join it just yet, but expect a competent journeyman as opposed to exciting auteur. The studio should go after Lawrence; he shoots gorgeous films and is the best they'll do at this stage.
