Christopher McQuarrie may not be a name that rings any bells, but the man has a shiny Oscar sitting atop his mantelpiece at home for writing the script to The Usual Suspects, and made his directorial debut with the ace, and criminally underrated, Way of the Gun, a few years back. Well, good news for Wolverine fans, as he's just signed on to pen a sequel. McQuarrie did a lot of uncredited work on the first X-Men film so he does seem like a logical choice to come in and take over penning duties. Himself and Hugh Jackman apparently agreed a deal when they were out having lunch and just started talking about the possabilities for the character, who will now spend a lot of time in Japan, handing folk their asses. First one was pretty much shit on a stick, so let's hope they hire a decent director too to really get us excited.
