Oh lord help us; Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson have learnt nothing from the cinematic bile that was the result of their holiday in Australia, Fool’s Gold, and have committed to co-star in a third project together. It will be a remake of the movie Foul Play, which starred Kate’s auld one Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase as a librarian and dumb cop who fall in love whilst solving crimes. McConaughey playing dumb, but loveable!? Well I never... No writer has yet been attached, but expect this to move swiftly into production once one has - we don’t think they go through too many drafts on these types of films. Both stars are talented, capable and lazy. McConaughey in particular is merely further pandering to his core audience, that will turn up on the opening weekend. Hudson should just know better.
