In some heartening news this Friday morning, Disney has granted a wish made by 32-year-old Daniel Fleetwood, a Texan suffering from a very rare form of cancer - called spindle cell sarcoma - and doctors don't expect him to make it to Christmas. The Force Awakens' release date is December 14th.
Daniel's story has since garnered a huge amount of interest and goodwill, especially as he is now in hospice care. According to BroBible, Daniel "told his local news station that the hope of watching it is what keeps him motivated to stay alive. This caused Twitter and Facebook to explode with #ForceForDaniel, encouraging Disney to give him an advanced screening." Daniel has been a massive fan of the franchise since aged 8, and he regularly camped outside cinemas days before the newer films were released, to ensure he was first to get a ticket.

Now it seems his dream has come true... Of course there will be the security measures in place. TMZ reports that Disney executives turned up "to his home", stealth like, with an unedited copy of the film: "Daniel’s wife, Ashley, tells us he loved the movie. She can’t say much more because she had to sign a confidentiality agreement. She says they watched on their own TV, but it was played from Disney’s equipment - gotta make sure the flick doesn’t get jacked."
Ashley also posted this update to her facebook: "Wanted to edit something: To all our wonderful supporters, friends, family and awesome strangers: Daniels final dream was just granted!!! Today the wonderful Disney, Bad Robot and Lucasfilm teams made his final dream come true, Daniel just finished watching an unfinished version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!! We would like to thank the awesomely talented JJ Abrams for calling us yesterday to tell us Daniel was getting his wish granted! Lastly I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen!!! May the force be with you all smile emoticon ‪#forcefordaniel‬"
In another heartwarming move, the film's director JJ Abrams gave Daniel a buzz "before they rolled the movie, which Ashley says really made Daniel’s day."
Unfortunately, it now seems now that Daniel is being badgered for spoilers...
To all the people who keep bothering Daniel for TFA reviews and details... Shame on you. Have some respect and decency. #ForceForDaniel
