Anthony and Joe Russo are close to a deal to direct the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The siblings have been working a lot on the much loved NBC sitcom Community, and have also helmed the Owen Wilson starring comedy, You, Me and Dupree. They beat out George Nolfi, a very nice fellow who made his directorial debut with The Adjustment Bureau. Apparently the shortlist of possible helmers went through a vigorous testing process by the folks at Marvel. The Russo's won, but sure there's two of them... 

Captain America is the weakest film Marvel have churned out since Iron Man bitch-slapped the box-office; but both that and Thor were huge set-ups for The Avengers - which wouldn’t have helped. Would've went with Nolfi purely on how fun 'Bureau' was. But what the fuck do i know...
