Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was the big winner at the North American box office this passing weekend, with a huge $63.5 million opening, while R-rated Paul Rudd/Seann William Scott comedy Role Models coined a stellar $19.3 million to place second. They were the only new openings, and both surprised with their respective takes. High School Musical 3 was in third with a weekend tally of $9.3 million, while Clint Eastwood's The Changeling and Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno followed with $7.2 and $6.5 million respectively.
