Jaysis, lads, you can't walk 2 steps without stepping on a Star Wars Episode VII casting rumour, these days. Half the world and their aunty auditioned for the upcoming Star Wars installment, and about half of them have been linked with roles.

The latest name being tossed about the rumour mill is that of Lupita Nyong'o. The 12 Years A Slave star and crowned Oscar winning Best Supporting Actress for her role in said movie, is reported to have had talks with JJ Abrams for a role in the new galactic thriller, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

While we would normally ask readers to take all Star Wars potential castings with a table spoon of salt, this latest report is probably one that you could take a bit more seriosuly. Nyong'o is hot property at the moment, especially after her Oscar win, and i'm sure a JJ Abrams in his right mind is more than willing to find a role for the Kenyan actress.

The film is set to start shooting in the UK and LA this month with a release date set for December 18th next year. We'll have to wait and see.
