Halloween is one of those rare cases of a film standing the test of time and still working as well today as it did in the late 70s when it was released. Why they call them classics we suppose...

Now word comes that The Weinstein Company is looking, once again, to reboot the franchise with Halloween 3D.

There’s no news yet on a director or writer, but Rob Zombie previously made two new (and god awful) Halloween flicks that are probably best ignoring.

These remakes, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc, have a habit of returning the often slight budget tenfold at the box office. Which is why they keep making ‘em.

It’s worth noting that the last (proper) Jamie Lee Curtis outing for Michael Myers, Halloween: H20, was actually rather good.
