Lindsay Lohan has gotten another proper acting gig after her role in The Manson Girls fell through. According to Variety, the flashbulb beacon will star in the comedy Labour Pains, "as an assistant, working in a stuffy publishing house, who pretends to be pregnant in a desperate attempt to keep her nasty boss from firing her". The actress told the trades "It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies." Lohan needs some more roles pronto, or you can expect to see her on some reality television series in a couple of year’s time opposite Hayley Joel Osmond and the midget from Austin Powers. She’s really only had one well received film in Mean Girls, but failed to capitalize on the success of that with a couple of poor choices and media over exposure.
