Limitless director Neil Berger has been announced as David O'Russell's replacement in the director's chair for the game adaptation, Uncharted.

According to Variety, Berger has signed on to direct an action packed, big screen version of the huge selling game, which just released a successful follow up called, er, Uncharted 2. O'Russell's version was apparently nothing like the game plot, which follows an Indiana Jones type fortune hunter called Nathan Drake during quests for famed archaeological treasures.

Actors being linked with the lead role (it's assumed Mark Wahlberg will follow pal O'Russell off the project) are Bradley Cooper and Nathan Fillion. The latter is a constant fan favourite, who bears more than a passing resemblance to the character in the game; while Cooper is a popular and now established leading man who has worked with Berger before.
