After the weekend box-office success of G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, it was pretty inevitable that another toy franchise would soon get the green light. Few would've expected it to be a Lego movie, mind. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The live action-CG hybrid is described as a "movie set in the world of Lego that centres on the subject of child-like imaginations and examines themes of creativity and teamwork." Toy Story was used by the producers as an obvious example for what kind of production they'd be aspiring for. Warner Bros. are funding the film, with writers currently being considered for the gig.
